Practice Makes Perfect

So last night GamerPeer launched our first beta and to be honest, it didn’t go as expected.  We had an error with saving a new user’s profile, making the rest of the site obsolete.  There isn’t much to say except, “shit, back to the drawing board.”  Instead of moping around we spent all afternoon reviewing our design and testing the code.  We will eventually get a functioning site that will hopefully be embraced by the growing gaming community.  Although the beta did not go as planned, we learned a great deal from this experience and look forward to trying again.

After spending so much time working on this site including; late hours, reading how to books that mine as well be in French, and spending weekends planning marketing campaigns, it has brought back great memories of playing competitive sports and one of my favorite quotes.

“What women want:  To be loved, to be listened to, to be desired, to be respected, to be needed, to be trusted, and sometimes, just to be held.  What men want:  Super Bowl Tickets.”  -Dave Barry, Humor Columnist, Miami Herald

…That quote has nothing to do with anything relevant to GamerPeer.com or the Beta test but is funny as hell.  Lets Go Giants!

  1. obviously like your web-site but you have to take a look at the spelling on quite a few of your posts. Many of them are rife with spelling problems and I to find it very troublesome to inform the truth on the other hand I will certainly come again again.

    • Thank you very much for your comment. Many of the posts were written at ridiculous hours but I will take your comment to heart and try and make a more “professional” blog.

No need to keep condense grammar to under 150 words. haha
